What is Awana?

  Awana is an international, nondenominational, Bible-centered organization providing weekday clubs and   programs for 2-year-olds through high school. The acronym AWANA comes from 2 Timothy 2:15: Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.

Why Awana?

 Awana Principles are
  • Centered on the gospel of Christ
  • Emphasizes Scripture memory
  • Is exciting to children and young people
  • Built on leadership

 Awana exits to
  • Reach children and youth with the gospel of Christ
  • Train them to serve Him
  • Reach parents and other family members with the gospel of Christ
  • Train adults to minister to children and youth

What Makes Awana unique?

 MESSAGE: The heart of Awana is the gospel message of Jesus Christ.
 MEMORIZATION: Awana believes that memorizing and understanding the Bible is vital. Studying and memorizing God’s Word are keys to winning the battle against sin.
 MOTIVATION:  Game Time: Each time includes an exciting Game Time that attracts clubbers and keeps them coming back for more.

Awards: Awana offers both individual and team awards to motivate clubbers and leaders to achieve.

Awana at CCCBR  has four different children’s clubs  

 Puggles for children who will start kindergarten in three years.

 Cubbies for children who will start kindergarten in two years.

 Sparks for Kindergarten through second grade that emphasizes Bible memorization and Bible - centered activities.

 Truth & Training for third through fifth grade that emphasizes Bible memorization and Bible - centered achievements.

Weekly Schedule

Each club meets regularly on Sundays morning:

  • Puggles and Cubbies are from 9:20AM to 11:00AM
  • Sparks and T&T are from 9:20AM to 12:00AM
