Youth Minister: Todd Whirley
青少年傳道
Minister Whirley
was born in Florida but has lived most of his life here in
the Baton Rouge area. He came to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
at the age of 17 at Harrell's Ferry Rd. Baptist Church (now
called Parkside) here in Baton Rouge. He is blessed with a
wonderful, godly wife, Melody, and a fine teenage son, Noah.
He graduated from Louisiana State University with degrees
in History, International Studies (Political Science) and
a minor in Russian Area Studies. After many years of working
with the disabled, he worked in human resources management
in the corporate world. God called him into ministry in 2001
and he started graduate school shortly thereafter. Minister
Whirley received his Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans
Baptist Theological Seminary in 2006. He has served in a
few different capacities since being called into ministry
including Associate Pastor, Youth Minister, Minister of Outreach & Evangelism
and Children's Minister. Currently, Minister Whirley serves
full-time as Principal at Riverdale Christian Academy, a
K-12 private school here in Baton Rouge, while also ministering
to our youth part-time at CCCBR.
Minister Whirley has a heart for youth ministry and is passionate
about teaching students God's Word. He and his wife love
taking youth to summer camp and retreats and seek to help
students and their parents apply God's Word to their lives.
His hobbies include reading, video editing and computing.
Whirley傳道出生於佛羅里達州，但他絕大部分時間生活在貝城。他十七歲時在貝城Harrell's
Ferry Rd. （現更名為Parkside）浸信會信靠主耶穌基督蒙恩得救。 神賜福給他一位敬虔愛主的好妻子Melody，和一位十幾歲，敬畏神又活潑可愛的的兒子Noah。
他畢業於路易斯安那州立大學，獲歷史與國際研究（政治科學）學位，以及俄羅斯地區研究副科學位。在為殘疾人工作多年之後，他在企業界人事資源管理部門工作。2001年神呼召他全時間服事，隨後不久他進入神學院，並於2006年在紐奧良浸信會神學院獲道學碩士學位。蒙召之後，他曾在不同的崗位上服事，如成人傳道、青少年傳道、福音佈道與擴展傳道及兒童傳道。現今，Whirley傳道在一所幼兒園－十二年級的學校，Riverdale
Christian Academy任全時間校長，同時在本教會兼任半職青少年傳道。
Whirley傳道對青少年事工有負擔，並且熱心於教導孩子們神的道。他和她的太太喜歡帶領青少年參加夏令營與退休會，並努力幫助孩子們與他們的父母把神的道實際應用於生活中。他的業餘愛好包括閱讀、編輯影像、計算機等。
